Description
7FoodPillars PorcineTrace PCR Kit provides a fast, direct, sensitive and reliable detection of DNA extracted from a wide variety of food products in approximately 3 hours.
Intended Use
The PorcineTrace PCR Kit is designed to detect the specific gene for porcine species in food. This kit provides PCR Mastermix with enzyme components and the primer set for rapid testing by conventional PCR assay, as well as the Internal Control (IC) system for reliable results.
Principle Of Test
The Porcine Trace PCR kit employs a multiplex Polymerase Chain Reaction test platform which selectively amplifies 3 amplicons; one of which is used as an External control. The amplicons are specific gene fragments to detect porcine, vertebrate and plant DNA. In principle, this test could also be used to detect traces of meat (vertebrate band); for discerning vegetarians but as it is optimized primarily for detection of porcine DNA; sensitivity for this kind of usage might not be as good as for detection of porcine traces.
